In September 2016 Yahoo announced that the account information of 500 million users was stolen in a 2014 hack. Stolen data included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, birth dates, encrypted passwords and security questions. To keep yourself safe you should first change your password and then consider updating your answers to security questions as a second password because most of these answers are public record.
