Professor Dinc's research interests are in corporate finance and banking, with an emphasis on financial crises and international issues. Much of his recent research focuses on the role of politics in finance and vice versa, including the role of politics in foreclosures, in the Stimulus Act, in Mergers & Acquisitions, and in privatizations. He has also published papers on regulatory forbearance and corporate governance in banking crises. His papers appeared in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Business.
Professor Dinc has taught finance at MIT (Sloan), Northwestern (Kellogg), and Michigan (Ross), and was nominated for the school-wide best teacher award at all three schools. He is currently teaching finance at Rutgers University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
