Lee McCrary is Executive Vice President and head of SunTrust Bank’s Commercial Expansion Division. Lee has over 22 years of experience at SunTrust serving middle market clients. As head of the Commercial Expansion Division Lee is responsible for identifying new markets to expand SunTrust’s commercial banking line of business. As part of this initiative Lee is currently building teams in Ohio and Texas. The Commercial Bank Line of Business provides sophisticated balance sheet, deposit and capital markets solutions to middle market privately owned businesses.
Prior to assuming his current role in 2016, Lee held senior roles in SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group and Financial Institutions Group. The Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group provides all forms of debt capital to public and private corporations. During his tenure with the Financial institutions Group Lee provided strategic advice, debt and equity capital to banks, broker-dealers and asset management firms.
Lee joined SunTrust Bank in 1995 as part of its credit training program. Subsequently in 2007 Lee joined the Structured Finance Group which focused on providing debt and equity capital solutions to middle market private equity firms in support of their acquisitions.
Lee is a graduate of Wake Forest University and holds a B.S. in Accounting.
