Marc Posner's areas of expertise include optimization with an emphasis in integer programming an analysis of heuristics. He maintains special interests in production, scheduling, facility layout, and the supply chain. Prior to joining The Ohio State University, Posner was a faculty member at the Business School at New York University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He currently serves as departmental editor of scheduling and logistics for IIE Transactions, where he earned the IIE Transactions Certificate of Excellence in 2002, 2003, and 2005. Posner is also the associate editor for Naval Research Logistics. He has served as the cluster chair in scheduling for the INFORMS Annual Conference multiple times. Poser has served on many National Science Foundation panels, including the panels for Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR), Career Grants, and Operations Research. Posner earned his PhD in Operations Research from University of Pennsylvania.
