2013 Fisher Invitational Case Competition

Jan 1, 2013

Columbus, OH

Introduction

Saed Mohseni, Chief Executive Officer of Bravo Brio Restaurant Group (BBRG) had plenty of reasons to feel good about the way in which his firm had weathered the storm of the Great Recession in the US economy. Between its two Italian restaurants brands, BBRG had topped 100 in total restaurants and $400 million in annual sales, yet the company remained a long way from its stated goal of $1 billion in annual revenue. How would the firm maintain its steady and profitable growth yet also achieve this aggressive goal?

As the 2013 Big 10+ Case, BBRG hosted the student teams for a private kick-off dinner at their Polaris Brio location, provided a tour of their Lennox Bravo location, sent senior management to participate as judges in each round of the competition, and Saed himself even sat down with each team to answer their specific questions about the company's future goals!

Each individual on the winning team received an ipad mini and all participants were awarded a $50 gift certificate courtesy of BBRG. A special thank you from the National Center for the Middle Market and the Fisher College of Business for their collaboration on this event.
