Justin I. Miller, assistant professor, received his PhD in Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.  He also earned an MPA from the School of Public Affairs, Baurch College, City University of New York, an MS in E-Commerce from National University in San Diego and a JD from the School of Law, University of San Diego.

He has extensive managerial and entrepreneurship experience in technology and Internet start-up companies, including co-founding two companies.  Some of his research interests include financial entrepreneurship, organizational theory, economic sociology and industry emergence and evolution.

He received numerous awards and recognition during graduate school, including the Best Paper Award at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting for his paper Corporate Social Responsibility: Institutional Response to Labor, Legal and Shareholder Environments, and was named a Finalist in the INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Proposal Competition.
