Chairman and CEO of CSW Industrials, Inc.

Joseph B. Armes has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of CSW Industrials, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSWI), a diversified industrial growth company, since its spin-off from Capital Southwest Corporation (NASDAQ:  CSWC), a capital provider to middle market companies, in September 2015.  He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CSWC, a position he has held since January 2014.  Prior to CSWI’S spin-off from CSWC, Mr. Armes served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Capital Southwest Corporation from June 2013 to September 2015.  Mr. Armes serves as an independent director and audit committee chairman for RSP Permian, Inc. (NYSE:  RSPP), an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company and as a trustee for the American Beacon Advisors family of mutual funds.  Mr. Armes began his career with the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Armes served on the Baylor University Board of Regents from 2001-2010, where he served terms as chairman of each of the finance, audit, and compensation committees as well as the presidential search committee in 2009.  He is currently chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council for Baylor’s Honors College.

Mr. Armes earned both a BBA (Finance) and MBA from Baylor University, and a JD from Southern Methodist University's School of Law, where he was an editor of the Southwestern Law Journal.
